  • Magnificent place of peace and quiet just off the very busy High Street. There's a lively school next door and the sounds of children playing nearby gave a sense of life and modernity. The church is well kept and impressive.
  • Grade II Listed, this rubble-stone and ashlar Victorian High Gothic church attributed to George Gilbert Scott (1872). This is a formidable building. An imposing large carved (stained-glass) window on the western front, a narrow aisled nave with the pulpit, some monuments and accoutrements preserved from previous incarnations. Isaac Newton, a former parishioner here. An active community.
