A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Sat): visit a coastal fixture at Faro de Punta Higuera, then look for gifts at Tres Puertas Art Gallery & Blue Mermaid Gift Shop, then kick back and relax at Playa Crashboat, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Jobos Beach. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sandy Beach, then stroll through Tres Palmas Marine Reserve, and then view the masterpieces at Playa Oeste Gallery.

San Juan to Rincon is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of shuttle and car. In July in Rincon, expect temperatures between 90°F during the day and 80°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sun) so you can drive to La Parguera.

La Parguera — 3 nights

Start off your visit on the 11th (Mon): tour the pleasant surroundings at Balneario de Boqueron. On the next day, visit a coastal fixture at Faro Los Morrillos, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Sucia, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa Rosada.

You can drive from Rincon to La Parguera in 1.5 hours. In July, daily temperatures in La Parguera can reach 90°F, while at night they dip to 80°F. You'll set off for Guanica on the 13th (Wed).

Guanica — 2 nights

Guánica is a town and municipality in southern Puerto Rico (U.S.), bordering the Caribbean Sea, south of Sabana Grande, east of Lajas, and west of Yauco. Step out of Guanica with an excursion to Salto Curet Waterfall in Maricao--about 40 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take a peaceful walk through Bosque Estatal de Guanica, make a splash at Surf 'N Fun Water Park, take in nature's colorful creations at Finca El Girasol, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Cana Gorda Beach.

Guanica is just a short distance from La Parguera. In July in Guanica, expect temperatures between 86°F during the day and 76°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Fri) early enough to go by car back home.
