Newark is the most populous city in the U.S. state of New Jersey and the seat of Essex County. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Fri): walk around Bayonne Park, then take an in-depth tour of Newark Museum, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Nicknamed the "Entertainment Capital of the World," Las Vegas sits in the middle of a desert in the southern section of Nevada.
Change things up with a short trip to Hoover Dam in Boulder City (about 50 minutes away). There's much more to do: explore the wealth of natural beauty at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, shop like a local with The Strip, browse the different shops at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort, and ponder the design of Fountains of Bellagio.
