Walled City

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Step out of San Juan with an excursion to El Yunque National Forest in El Yunque National Forest--about 1h 10 min away. Next up on the itinerary: kick back and relax at Condado Beach, look for gifts at Seafoam, wander the streets of Old San Juan, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Pine Grove Beach.
