Cape May

The Nation's Oldest Seashore Resort

Cape May represents the other Jersey Shore--the one you don't see on TV--the one with a rich history and a refined, relaxed atmosphere.
You'll get in some beach time at Cape May Point State Park and Corson's Inlet State Park. Attractions like Food Tours and Poverty Beach make great kid-friendly stops. Explore Cape May's surroundings by going to Pirates on the Manasquan (in Brick), Ocean Grove Beach (in Ocean Grove) and @ease Massage (in Belmar). And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Cape May City Beaches, visit a coastal fixture at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, get in on the family fun at Gillian's Wonderland Pier, and stop by Downtown Ocean City.

To find where to stay, reviews, other places to visit, and tourist information, read Cape May day trip tool.

Orlando to Cape May is an approximately 8-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, car, and ferry. Traveling from Orlando in December, things will get colder in Cape May: highs are around 49°F and lows about 35°F. On the 7th (Mon), you'll travel back home.

The Garden State
Often overshadowed by its legendary neighbor, New York, New Jersey holds its own as a land of thriving industrial cities, sprawling farmland, and lively coastal towns. Called the Garden State, New Jersey is a hub of entertainment and cultural attractions for the east coast, from the famous sandy beaches and carnival-like atmosphere of the Jersey Shore to alluring Atlantic City, the Las Vegas of the east. New Jersey also boasts a wealth of historical places to visit, including battle sites and memorials, such as George Washington's Revolutionary War headquarters.
