From its main thoroughfare, Boise greets visitors with a view of downtown framed by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Mon): tour the pleasant surroundings at Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area and then look for gifts at Cinder Wines. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center, then get curious at Discovery Center of Idaho, and then take in nature's colorful creations at Julia Davis Park.
