Theme Park Capital of the World

For most people, any mention of Orlando immediately conjures up images of sprawling theme parks filled with characters plucked right out of popular animated movies.
Pack the 2nd (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Universal's Islands of Adventure. Pack the 3rd (Tue) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Orlando Resort. And it doesn't end there: make a splash at Discovery Cove, find something for the whole family at SeaWorld, and discover the magic at Magic Kingdom Park.

Rochester to Orlando is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In August, Orlando is somewhat warmer than Rochester - with highs of 92°F and lows of 76°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can catch the flight to Key West.

Conch Republic

Located just 140 km (90 mi) from Cuba, Key West is an island only about 6.4 km (4 mi) long and 1.6 km (1 mi) wide.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Thu): take an in-depth tour of Fort East Martello Museum, then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, then stroll through Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory, and finally examine the collection at The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. On the 6th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take a leisurely stroll along Mallory Square and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Bahia Honda State Park.

Getting from Orlando to Key West by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In August in Key West, expect temperatures between 90°F during the day and 81°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly to Miami Beach.

Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Sat): get some thrills out on the water with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure, wander the streets of Lincoln Road, then stroll through South Beach, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Art Deco Historic District.
