Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll

The largest city on the Mississippi River, Memphis bills itself as both the "Birthplace of Rock" and "Home of the Blues." With such a rich musical heritage, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Elvis Presley chose to live in Memphis during his later years.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Tue): don't miss a visit to Graceland, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Memphis Zoo, then stop by Memphis Music, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Beale Street. Here are some ideas for day two: appreciate the history behind National Civil Rights Museum - Lorraine Motel, steep yourself in history at Sun Studio, and then make a trip to The Peabody Ducks.

Florida’s mecca of fun in the sun, the lively tropical metropolis of Miami is one of the world’s top vacation spots.
Get out of town with these interesting Miami side-trips: Shark Valley Visitor Center (in Everglades National Park), Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center (in Tavernier) and Scuba & Snorkeling (in Key Largo). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, take in nature's colorful creations at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, browse the different shops at Bayside Marketplace, and wander the streets of Lincoln Road.
