Kick off your visit on the 12th (Mon): examine the collection at National Automobile Museum, get to know the fascinating history of Truckee River Walk, and then trek along Eagle Rock Hiking Trail. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 13th (Tue): stroll through Tompkins Memorial Trail, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and then stop by Historic Downtown Truckee.

Fly from Reno to Phoenix in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Reno to Phoenix. When traveling from Reno in July, plan for a bit warmer days and much hotter nights in Phoenix: temperatures range from 106°F by day to 85°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Fri) early enough to fly back home.
