City of Angels

Surrounded by mountain ranges, forests, valleys, beaches, and deserts, the metropolitan area of Los Angeles is home to over 17 million people.
When in Los Angeles, make a side trip to see Disneyland Park in Anaheim, approximately Anaheim away. Pack the 9th (Fri) with family-friendly diversions at Universal Studios Hollywood. Next up on the itinerary: look and learn at Griffith Observatory, buy something for everyone on your list at Two Rodeo Drive, admire the masterpieces at Diorama-museum of Bhagavad-gita, and take in the waterfront at Santa Monica Pier.

For ratings, maps, other places to visit, and other tourist information, you can read our Los Angeles trip planner.

Oakland to Los Angeles is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Oakland in July, things will get somewhat warmer in Los Angeles: highs are around 83°F and lows about 66°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 12th (Mon) to allow time for the flight back home.
