5 days in Keystone & Denver Area Itinerary

Fewer than 400 people call Keystone home year-round, but the population explodes in summer when crowds flock to nearby Mount Rushmore.

Kick off your visit on the 26th (Thu): pause for some photo ops at Mount Rushmore National Memorial, then hike along Presidential Trail, then go for a walk through Breezy Point Picnic Area, and finally view the masterpieces at Insideout. On the next day, take a memorable drive along Iron Mountain Road, take in the dramatic natural features at Needles Eye Tunnel, and then take in the awesome beauty at Black Elk Peak.
