A compact capital with stately southern history, Columbia serves as a symbol of the south.
Attractions like Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden and Carowinds make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Columbia side-trips: PuckerButt Pepper Company (in Fort Mill) and Charlotte Premium Outlets (in Charlotte). The adventure continues: have some family-friendly fun at The Final Door Escape Room Columbia, learn about all things military at Fort Jackson Museum (not open to All public), identify plant and animal life at Saluda Shoals Park, and steep yourself in history at South Carolina State House.
