Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Space Center Houston and then admire the natural beauty at McGovern Centennial Gardens. On your second day here, take in the spiritual surroundings of Lakewood Church, then stroll through White Oak Bayou Trail, and then explore the different monuments and memorials at Glenwood Cemetery.

Separated by water from the neighboring city of Miami, Miami Beach sits on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Wed): appreciate the extensive heritage of Art Deco Historic District, then stroll through South Beach, then take in the local highlights with Art Deco Walks, and finally take a stroll through Lincoln Road. On your second day here, wander the streets of Collins Avenue, then see the interesting displays at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, then have fun at Lock & Load Miami, and finally examine the collection at Lock & Load Museum.
