Mile-High City

Aptly nicknamed the "Mile-High City," Denver sits at an altitude of 1,600 m (5,280 ft) above sea level, located right where the Great Plains give way to the Rocky Mountains.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Wed): meet the residents at Denver Zoo and then get curious at Denver Museum of Nature & Science. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Molly Brown House Museum, explore the galleries of Denver Botanic Gardens, then explore the world behind art at Denver Art Museum, and finally observe the fascinating underwater world at Downtown Aquarium.

New York City to Denver is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST) is minus 2 hours.
