Tusayan is a town, but was a census-designated place during the 2010 census. Start off your visit on the 7th (Tue): appreciate the extensive heritage of Bright Angel Point, then take in breathtaking views at Grand Canyon South Rim, and then steep yourself in history at Hermit's Rest. Here are some ideas for day two: see Off-Road Tours, then hike along South Kaibab Trail, then take some stellar pictures from Mather Point, and finally explore the stunning scenery at Yavapai Point.

Anchorage to Tusayan is an approximately 14.5-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 2 hours traveling from Anchorage to Tusayan. Center of Canyon Country
Originally little more than a simple camp constructed to house workers who built a nearby dam on the Colorado River, Page is now a popular stop for travelers preparing a trip to Arizona's canyon country.On the 9th (Thu), take in the dramatic natural features at Horseshoe Bend and then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Powell.

You can drive from Tusayan to Page in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and taxi; or do a combination of bus and shuttle. While traveling from Tusayan, expect somewhat warmer days and much warmer nights in Page, ranging from highs of 72°F to lows of 48°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Thu) to allow time for travel back home.
