Derby City

Kentucky’s largest city, Louisville, is best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Sat): sample the fine beverages at Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co, examine the collection at Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and then take in the views from The Big Four Bridge. Keep things going the next day: Head underground at Louisville Mega Cavern, then see the interesting displays at Kentucky Derby Museum, and then try to win big at Churchill Downs.

Boise to Louisville is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The largest city in "upstate" South Carolina, Greenville has grown around the natural wonders of waterfalls located in the downtown area.
On the 16th (Mon), stop by M.Judson Booksellers & Storytellers, then stroll around Falls Park on the Reedy, and then grab your bike and head to GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail.
