A global center of finance and transportation, Frankfurt is perhaps best known for its futuristic cityscape.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Thu): learn more about the world around you at Senckenberg Natural History Museum (Naturmuseum Senckenberg), then meet the residents at Opel Zoo, and then browse the eclectic array of goods at Kleinmarkthalle. Keep things going the next day: admire the masterpieces at Stadel Museum, then steep yourself in history at Messel Pit Fossil Site, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Neroberg.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Frankfurt is an approximately 9- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Appreciate the collections at Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich) and Verkehrshaus der Schweiz. For shopping fun, head to Bahnhofstrasse or Confiserie Sprungli. Step out of Zurich with an excursion to Lake Lucerne in Lucerne--about 1h 05 min away. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen and explore the activities along Seebad Katzensee.

Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Profumeria Bellagio. Step out of the city life by going to Turati Centro Nautico Lario and Lido di Menaggio. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Milan: Villa del Balbianello (in Tremezzina), Bellagio (I Giardini di Villa Melzi & Azalea - Silk of Como) and AC Boat (in Menaggio).
