A cultured and storied city, Leon attracts guests from all over the world, drawn to the second city's style, thriving intellectual life, and liveliness.
Step out of Leon to go to Las Penitas and see Juan Venado Island Nature Reserve, which is approximately 38 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the geological forces at Cerro Negro Volcano, push the limits with an extreme tour, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church The Recollection, and examine the collection at Museo de Arte Fundacion Ortiz-Gurdian.
