The Motor City

Founded in 1701 by a French explorer and adventurer, Detroit exerted a profound impact on the world for most of the 20th century.
Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sat): admire the masterpieces at Detroit Institute of Arts, then contemplate the long history of Motown Museum, and then take a leisurely stroll along Detroit RiverFront. On the next day, see the interesting displays at Greenfield Village, examine the collection at The Henry Ford, and then stop by Morley Candy Makers - The Home of Sanders Candy.
