Fortunate People in a Fortunate Land

A famed resort town since the early 20th century, Santa Monica sits on the picturesque Santa Monica Bay, bordered on three sides by the city of Los Angeles.
Get some historical perspective at Ocean Avenue and The Historic La Arcada Courtyard. Get outdoors at Zuma Beach and Redondo Beach. Explore Santa Monica's surroundings by going to Point Mugu State Park (in Point Mugu), Torrance Beach (in Redondo Beach) and Wayfarers Chapel (in Rancho Palos Verdes). There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Ventura to Ojai Paved Bike Path, learn about all things military at U.S. Navy Seabee Museum, examine the collection at Mullin Automotive Museum, and kick back and relax at Carpinteria State Beach.
