La Paloma

A small coastal city set on the edge of an attractive bay, La Paloma has a population of only around 3,500.
Change things up with a short trip to Parque Nacional y Reserva de Fauna y Flora El Potrerillo de Santa Teresa in Rocha (about 34 minutes away). There's much more to do: visit a coastal fixture at Faro Cabo Santa Maria, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Los Botes, tour the pleasant surroundings at Balneario Punta Rubia, and soothe aching muscles at Balneario La Paloma.

Formerly a sleepy little fishing town, Punta del Diablo has become a popular seaside getaway with a wealth of attractions natural and manmade.
Change things up with a short trip to Fuerte de San Miguel in Chuy (about 46 minutes away). Spend the 27th (Thu) exploring nature at Santa Teresa National Park.
