Kick off your visit on the 20th (Fri): see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour and then get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Sat): tour the pleasant surroundings at Airlie Beach Lagoon, get a new perspective on things with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then go for a walk through Coral Beach and the Beak, Conway National Park.

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Get out of town with these interesting Cairns side-trips: Palm Cove (Spas & Palm Cove Beach). A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
Explore Cape Tribulation's surroundings by going to Daintree (Floravilla Ice Cream Factory & Photography Tours) and Cow Bay (Walu Wugirriga Lookout & Daintree Discovery Centre).
