Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Thu): ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, thendelve into the distant past at Pantheon, and then steep yourself in history at Colosseum. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Vatican Museums and then steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica.

You can fly from Stockholm to Rome in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of car and train. Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.
Head to Mercato Centrale and L'Arte dei Ciompifor plenty of shopping. Museum-lovers will get to explore Florence Academy of Fine Arts and Gallerie Degli Uffizi. Take a break from Florence with a short trip to Guardastelle Vineyard in San Gimignano, about 1h 5 min away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica of Santa Croce, see the interesting displays at Pitti Palace, and take in the views from Ponte Vecchio.

On the 10th (Tue), get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Marineland. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 11th (Wed): see the interesting displays at Musée Marc Chagall and then explore the world behind art at Musee d'Art Moderne Et d'Art Contemporain.
