Daintree is a settlement in North Queensland 111km north of Cairns and 56km from Port Douglas, Queensland. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Thornton Beach and Cow Bay Beach. You'll get in some beach time at Myall Beach and Cape Tribulation Beach. Step out of Daintree to go to Cow Bay and see Walu Wugirriga Lookout, which is approximately 36 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: identify plant and animal life at Daintree Mangroves Wildlife Sanctuary, hike along Mount Sorrow Ridge Trail, make a trip to Elizas Gallery, and meet the residents at Daintree Wild Zoo.
