A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
Visit Plaza de España and Barrio Santa Cruz for their historical value. Do some cultural sightseeing at Royal Alcázar of Seville and Catedral de Sevilla. Take a break from Seville with a short trip to Fieldwork Riotinto in Minas de Riotinto, about 1h 15 min away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Real Maestranza de Caballeria de Sevilla, get outside with Paseo Alcalde Marques del Contadero, ride a horse along Centro Ecuestre Entrepinares, and enjoy breathtaking views from Torre Giralda.

Madrid to Seville is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Madrid in January, with highs in Seville at 17°C and lows at 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Malaga.

Drive from Seville to Malaga in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. When traveling from Seville in January, plan for a bit warmer days in Malaga, with highs around 20°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Granada.

Kick off your visit on the 15th (Wed): take a stroll through Albayzin, examine the collection at Monasterio de la Concepcion, thenget engrossed in the history at Casa de Castril, thencontemplate the long history of Alhambra, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of Plaza de los Aljibes. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Mirador de San Nicolas, examine the collection at Palacio de Alcazar Genil, thensteep yourself in history at Casa-Museo de Manuel de Falla, and finally surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour.

Getting from Malaga to Granada by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Malaga in January: high temperatures in Granada hover around 14°C and lows are around 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Fri) early enough to travel to Madrid.
