Trip Planner: Asia / Thailand / Phetchaburi Province / Tha Yang / Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand
Visit and volunteer at Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, a rescue center and wildlife hospital for a wide variety of animals. See how monkeys, wild cats, bears, birds, reptiles, and elephants are nursed to good health and released into the wild (when possible). You can also get involved with the volunteer program, which allows for working closely with the animals but requires a cash donation. If you prefer to visit only, check out day trips to the rescue center and elephant range, where the creatures are treated humanely. Remember to reserve ahead of time for any visit or volunteer program. A visit to Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Tha Yang trip itinerary planning app to plot your vacation.

Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Reviews
I spent a full day here, in mid-February with 7 other people. We all loved our experience but felt that the 1/2 day experience really misses out on the best part of the day...... the elephant... more »
So, we had the tipp to go there by ‘lonely planet’. And, people, I can tell you, it was amazing. We had the full day tour. Including some very good food, feeding and showering an elephant, see a lot..... more »
If if could give this place 10 stars I would! Absolutely amazing! Spent the day learning about the various animals in their care and feeding/showering the elephants. We've been home from Thailand for nearly 3 months and I think about this place, the people who work here and the incredible work they do pretty much every day. Such a wonderful day spent here for a fantastic price and an experience I will never forget. If you're nearby, DO IT!! You won't regret it.
We booked the trip directly trough their website which I would recommend, as it is cheaper and all the money you spend arrives straight at the wildlife foundation. This was one of the best trips we ever took, the animals were treated so very kind and it was very informative what the guide told us about the story of what happened to them before. Delicious food with lots of vegan options and a great experience. If you want to get a real encounter with elefants this is the place to go :)
