Furi Suspension Bridge
Soaring above a gorge, Furi Suspension Bridge offers spectacular views over the foaming river and idyllic mountain landscape of rocks, valleys, and larch woods. Crossing the wobbly 100 m (328 ft) long and 90 m (295 ft) high suspension bridge can be both fun and scary, especially for those with a fear of heights. Once on the other side, consider having a picnic at one of the nearby barbecue sites or visit the Dossen glacier garden and see glacial mills. The bridge is generally closed in the winter. This is a beautiful hike! We hiked the loop going right from the cable car exit and up through the town and woods. This part of the trail was really poorly marked and we turned around more than once..... more

Amazing view. Reachable via a 15min walk from Furi station in Zermatt. Might not be suitable if you have acrophobia (mild should be fine).

Wow. Just wow. We came in autumn and the trees were an astonishing golden. Simply amazing and breath taking to be surrounded by a sea of gold. Please do yourself a favor and do not miss out Furi when you visit Zermatt! This hike is an effortlessly one hour stroll from the Furi gondola lift station and you get to see one of the best autumn colours in Switzerland. I dare say our view here makes our 3 and a half hours trip from Zurich totally worth it.
