Discover over five centuries of watchmaking history at Patek Philippe Museum, which houses a large collection of fine timepieces and related mechanisms created from the 16th century up to the present day. Founded by one of Switzerland's leading watch manufacturers, the museum devotes a great deal of attention to the brand's own luxury products, with a special focus on modern precision pieces and lavish 19th-century pocket watches. The antique collection looks beyond the brand's best products and traces the evolution of timekeeping with displays of the finest examples of Swiss-made watches, musical automata, and portrait miniatures painted on enamel. Check the website for public and private guided tours. Put Patek Philippe Museum on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Geneva trip builder site.

  • A very surprising and interesting museum who thought clocks and watches could be so good and the audio guide was very good given just enough information

  • I like watches. And apparently I may really like them. While we were in Geneva, we took an hour to visit this museum. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised by the history, beauty, and variety of the collection at the museum. My son (12) enjoyed it as well. He thought the history was interesting. We used an audio guide to walk us through the history of technology of timepieces. Well done, though perhaps a “101” course might have helped us get a bit more out of it. The staff was friendly and helpful. When back in Geneva, we will visit again to get even more out of this.
