Parc Guell, Barcelona

When you go here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance. The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists. The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.

The park sits on a hill top which provides a spectacular view over the city. The architecture, the design of the rocks , the benches decorated with colorful mosaic were beautiful and unique. The entrance fee is a reasonable €10. But be aware it requires quite some walks. From the metro station it is about 15 minutes walks. There are lots of stairs to climb. Although there are escalators from the street to the park entrance, some sections do not work so you will have to take the stairs. After we reached to the top of the stairs, there is no clear sigh pointing to the park entrance. We ended up going to a wrong entrance which is for residents only. In the park some sections are not accessible so you will have to return back. The park could do a better job with signage.
