Located in the bustling city center and considered one of architect Antoni Gaudí’s signature works, Casa Batllo can perhaps best be described as a combination of Modernist and Art Nouveau architecture. Gaudí’s design goal seems to have been to avoid straight lines—completely. Much of the facade is decorated with mosaics made of broken ceramic tiles, ranging in shades from golden orange to greenish blue. The roof is arched and often described as resembling the back of a dragon or dinosaur, so it’s not surprising that most locals call the building "House of Bones." Originally built for a middle-class urban family, this is one of two Gaudí houses available for touring. Skip the lines by booking your tickets online. Absolutely get a ticket for an inside visit to this extraordinary and beautiful building. The architecture and engineering are fantastic, all done more than 100 years ago with the aid of computers.

It is a building full of colour and shapes. I thought it would be much bigger. You must see during your stay in Barcelona.

Very educational and inspirational experience. The audio guide made the experience even more fun. There several types of entrance tickets, but do not think the ticket with the AR tablet is necessary unless you are going with young children. Make sure to bring your own earphones!

I think it is the one of most unforgettable experience I have ever had. The house is just amazing and so extraordinary. I had the gold ticket and had the amazing experience. The audio guide was so engaging and tips on the tablets made it more interesting. As I am a fan of Gaudy style of architecture I was so impressed with the visit and what I saw. So definitely recommended to visit this house if you are going to visit Barcelona. The tickets needs to be pre-booked and kids under 12 are going free!
