Absolutely beautiful place. Amazing reef to snorkel and scuba dive, chill vibe, amazing and friendly people. A message for foreign tourist: nudity is forbidden in Nicaragua by local law, besides that, it is offensive and culturally inappropriate for our country and our people, so if you come visit us please respect our rules, our people and our country. Thank you.

I love this island! It is beautiful shore to shore and everywhere between shores. The residents are amazing and warm to the tourists. The tourists, at least from my observations and visits, seem to be respectful to the residents. There are great restaurants, bars, and scenic beaches to enjoy. The taxis are extremely affordable or you can rent scooters, bikes, and cars. Be certain to travel everywhere on the island and visit every shop and restaurant. You don't want to miss a thing.
