Admire the ornamental design and impressive scale of Templo Expiatorio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, a Catholic cathedral. Construction began in 1921 and took some 91 years to complete--just in time for a visit from Pope Benedict XVI. Displaying a richly decorative Gothic Revival aesthetic, the large cathedral dominates the surrounding area, with the plaza at its front serving as a popular meeting place for locals and visitors. The interior features an atmospheric crypt with seven catacombs, and an impressive marble altar. • Beautiful church. The interior and exterior correspond to the same style of architecture. No expense spared in it's construction.
  • It was breath taking. Most definitely one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've ever been to. I would totally recommend to visit.
