St. John's Co-Cathedral, Valletta

I was initially hesitant about paying €15 entrance fee, however I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The cathedral itself is very pretty inside, extremely opulent and just goes to show how profitable churches are. The audio guide is very interesting and takes you through 19 different areas of the cathedral offering history on the various sections and decor. One of the areas was closed for restoration so we couldn’t see that but we were able to go into all of the other areas. I hope the cathedral puts some of the profits towards local charities.

Unlike any other European church I've visited. Bit steep of an entry ticket at €15 (the rest of Malta is pretty reasonably priced) but worth a visit. Make sure you cover your shoulders & above the knee or you won't have an easy time getting in & will have to wear a cover up supplied by the church
