Established by Queen Elizabeth I over four centuries ago, this college is one of the country's major architectural landmarks, its campus boasting numerous well-maintained Georgian and Victorian buildings. The college library holds 250,000 rare volumes, most notably the "Book of Kells," a lavishly decorated sacred text created around the year 800. • You can freely wander the campus of Trinity. It has some wonderful old buildings, however they are in stark contrast to the ugly, modern buildings beside them. We went to see the Book of Kells...

  • Great touristic location. Full of beautiful buildings and statues. If you want to visit the library you have to book and pay on advance or you risk not to have tickets left. Students from the Trinity offer paid tours of the area for around 15 euros. It has a small entrance next to Bank of Ireland.
  • A very nice university with stunning buildings and gardens. This is definitely a must see if you visit Dublin. The entrance is free but if you want to visit the library you need to purchase the tickets in advance as they're quickly sold out. If you only go around campus it'll take you about an hour to walk around. A cafeteria and bathrooms are available on site
