Create an itinerary including Hazrat Nizamuddin Darga
Jostle through the shop-packed alleys until you reach Hazrat Nizamuddin Darga, a serene 700-year-old mausoleum of one of the world's most famous Sufi saints, Nizamuddin Auliya. Visited by thousands of Muslims every week, the complex also holds the tombs of poet Amir Khusrow, Nizamuddin's contemporary, and of a 17th-century Mughal princess, Jahanara Begum Sahib. Observe worshippers pray to Mezar, listen to centuries-old qawwali (devotional music), and admire the intricate stone lattice and Farsi inscriptions. In the evening, candles illuminate the dargah. After your visit, explore the many good eateries in the area--but be aware of pickpockets. • Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah is one of the peace ful place, when you enter here you'll get peace, but only the major thing is crowd bcoz everybody wants peace, ambience was so good and beautiful 💖, When you enter here , you'll find a lot of food stalls in the lane leading to the dargah. Tip :- submit your footwear at the counter right outside of the dargah , must wear duppta for girls. I'm absolutely in love with it , it's a very peaceful ✨place with lots of stories around it , it's crowded place , in Delhi yet many peoples find inner peace over here just like me , many comes to see the glimpse of dargah offer prayers to do away their miseries.
  • It's the dargah of the famous Sufi saint - Nizamuddin Auliya (as the name suggests!) Many people visit here and feel at peace. A lot of pilgrims often visit too. When you enter here, you'll find a lot of food stalls in the lane leading to the dargah. Tip: submit your footwear at the counter right outside the dargah. When you enter inside, you'll first witness the shrine of famous poet Amit Khusrau, one of the chief disciples of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. The beautiful love story (folklore) of the two of them, is something one should hear/ read about! It's a beautiful place, but it felt somewhat uncomfortable to me due to the overcrowd. The famous Thursday Quawali has also been discontinued due to some online websites selling bogus tickets for the same, a beautiful night that used to go on for free since generations. It's worth a visit and witnessing for yourself!
