At Birla Mandir Temple (Lakshmi Narayan), thousands of devotees fervently practice their religion and host Hindu festivals. Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi, the temple, spread over an area of 3 hectares (7.5 acres), was built between 1933 and 1939. The architecture exhibits influences of the principles of the Swadeshi (India independence) movement, also known as the Modern Indian Architecture Movement. • Best temple of Delhi. The garden is also beautiful, but backside temples are other things are closed. Best place for picnic, lack of cleanses in the garden area. Nearby to jhandewalan metro.
  • Birla Mandir is very beautiful and peaceful place. You can spend your entire day here if you are looking for peace. Phone and camera are not allowed in the temple. There is a garden adjacent to the temple, where you can spend a quality time with family and friends and click pictures.
