One of the city's major temples, Shree Siddhivinayak and its cream-pink exterior saw a great boost in popularity during the latter half of the 1900s, when it became a favorite haunt of actors and politicians. Pay a visit to the temple, dedicated to the Hindu deity Ganesh, and you'll see plenty of icons depicting the elephant lord himself. Check out the gold-plated interior to see why this shrine has a reputation as one of the wealthiest in the country. Be sure to check the temple website for information about upcoming services, prayer times, and special events. • Lord's darshan had to be done from outside the temple in a TV due to covid precautions.🙏🙏
  • Scam 1: As soon as you step out of the cab a flower seller shop salesman rushes to you “Temple is about to close. (A lie) Take this flower basket and rush. 550 rupees only.” When we say that’s too much, the man says let’s talk money later. When you return back they insist on 550 only. Scam 2: entry lines inside temple are not marked properly. Various paid lines Rs. 1500, etc are displayed PROMINENTLY. The default line without charge is NOT shown. Ended paying to get entry because I could not find the default free entry. May be the locals know better, but definitely the temple could use some improvement for the above two issues that create a bad experience.
