The items were collected by Salar Jung, a former prime minister of Hyderabad, and they represent one of the world’s largest one-man antique collections. Roam the museum's spacious galleries, containing art belonging to various civilizations and time periods, some dating back to the second century. View countless paintings, sculptures, artifacts, and an extensive collection of clocks. • Very very very crowded but we did come during Diwali holiday so there were many people there. Mostly rooms with multiple items of the same thing. Unless you are a big history buff I would skip it.

  • Very interesting exhibits and artifacts, but this museum needs a major renovation. Even without the renovation, the exhibits should be kept clean: there was thick dust visible on most glass items, as....  more

  • Nice place lots of rooms with numerous traditions and heritage of ancient culture and mughal era
  • Located near MG Road metro, this place is a gem of Hyderabad. Entry fee is 50 rs, but will recommend to spend another 50 bucks for camera ticket as mobile phones are not allowed inside. The museum boosts of one of the greatest collections of the world. The place demands minimum 3-4 hours if you want to at least just visit every part of the museum. The museum has collection from different parts of the world. Veiled Rebbeca and singing clock are the two most sought after attractions of the museum. Overall verdict - definitely recommended.
