George, the caretaker spent a lot of time with us explaining some of the history of the island. The museum is small but dense with artifacts and history. One of the most interesting features is a working periscope from a WWII US submarine. Entrance is reasonable at 5 euros. Highly recommend.

This is a new museum that opened in August, and the museum is not yet complete. However, I enjoyed what I saw and learned from the museum curator. He is clearly very passionate about the history of Santorini, and I really appreciated hearing about the island’s history! Such a cool place to visit while trying to stay cool during the day. I would love to come back one day once the museum is complete!
