  • This place was inspiring both as an archeologist and an artist. Some rooms are more compelling than others, but you can see world famous artifacts each after another in every one of them. If you only visit a couple of museums in Athens, I would recommend putting this on your list. Otherwise, its a bit like every other archaeological museum, so if that's not your thing, visiting this one won't change that.
  • Nice museum. The area near museum is dangerous after sun sets. I recommend to go with metro ( in my experience Station Victoria was the best. Not so far and not so many homeless and immigrants). Keep the main street not the small one.
