Only the stables are original, the rest has been rebuilt , destroyed and rebuilt many times thru arious kings and nobles. Beautiful grounds and restorations. Must cost a ton to keep up and further.... more »

The visit was very personal - we ended up being the only two people on the last tour (at 5 PM). The chateau is still owned and lived in, and the tour includes nice touches like being able to play a beautiful grand piano. Overall more interesting than we expected and worth a visit!

This chateau is worth a visit, a guided tour costs 9 euro. The guidance was in French, but there are written guides in English available. Though the level of spoken French was mediocre, most of the people should understand what the guide is talking about. Our guide was very friendly, gave us the time to look around and take a photo here and there. A very interesting tour! Beautiful gardens, unfortunately the fountains aren't maintained, which means that some didn't work anymore.
