Wander around the lush green paradise of Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. This is the largest, hilliest, and least touristed park in Paris, where you'll find a real Parisian atmosphere. Climb to the top of the hill and overlook the north of Paris, with Montmartre before you. Walk over a suspension bridge to reach a decorative temple, which sits atop a steep cliff. The park has a waterfall fed by a natural spring deep underground, which flows into a lake. Make Parc des Buttes-Chaumont a centerpiece of your Paris vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Paris day trip planner.

  • Beautiful and big park. It contains hills and a waterfall. You walk through it and discover something unexpected on many places. People were siting on grass and enjoying the sun. Lovely!
  • Beautiful park, with two waterfalls and an island with a gorgeous view. Lots of people relaxing on the grass, while others are walking/jogging along the paths. Many couples taking engagement and wedding photos. Free to the public with wifi making it easy to post your picturesque photos to social media.
