Create an itinerary including Meidum Pyramid
Also known as the "collapsed pyramid" or the "false pyramid," Meidum Pyramid was probably built by Snefru, a 4th dynasty king. Experts believe that the edifice was originally designed as a step pyramid and later turned into a true pyramid by covering the steps with limestone. The remaining three steps of the pyramid tower some 65 m (213 ft) above the green oasis on the desert's edge. To get into the inner burial chamber, you will need to descend down a narrow passage and crawl through a hole, which is the highlight of the visit for many. While inside, look up to see a corbeled ceiling. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Meidum Pyramid by using our El Wasta trip planner.

  • Amazing, breathtaking and simply majestic site. The pyramid is still in tact, the shear volume and how tall the pyramid stands is simply impressive. There is not a lot to see but the visit is worth...

  • A great place to visit if you wanna understand the evolution of building the great pyramid of Giza " the last remaining wonder of the seven ancient wonders " . So Maydoum Pyramid belongs to king Sinfru from the 4th density and he owns 3 pyramids ( Maydoum - the bent pyramid - the red pyramid in dahshur ) ... A site to visit . 👍🏾
