Create an itinerary including Inmaculada Concepción Cathedral
A fusion of architectural styles, Inmaculada Concepción Cathedral stands as a towering landmark visible from all over town. Constructed over a period of nearly 100 years and finished only in 1975, the cathedral features Romanesque Revival, Baroque, and Neo-Gothic elements. Marvel at its trio of powder-blue domes, covered in imported blue and white glazed tiles, and get a good look at the intricate facade. Head inside to enjoy its vaulted interior lavishly decorated with gold and marble accents. Note that the building's blue domes appear disproportionately small; an architectural flaw required a downsizing of the overly heavy features so as not to collapse the structure. • This cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. There is the option to go inside and admire the art within the church. There is also the option to climb to the dome and admire the city from above...

  • Cuenca's #1 attraction for a reason. Absolutely stunning inside. It's the center of town and a proper visit doesn't take more than 30 minutes. No reason at all not to go.

  • I've come here 3 different days at 3 different times within the listed opening hours and it's never open. Update: on Friday 17 June I walked past and it was finally open. Access to the tower / terrace is only during set times ( pictured ) for $2 and the catacombs are only accessible if you do a full tour, only in Spanish and only at 11am on Saturdays.
  • Beautiful must do in Cuenca. Take the walk to top. $2 each. Good restaurants in plaza area.
