Known as the new urban district on the coast of the East China Sea, Pudong New Area attracts millions of tourists annually because of its skyscrapers and modern architecture. Covering an area of 570,000 sq m (354 sq mi), the district includes many scenic spots such as financial centers, museums, aquariums, boulevards, and historical sites.
