Island · Nature / Park
Swing in a hammock under a palm tree shade in Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island), a tiny rustic 2 sq km (0.77 sq mi) island lying only 4 km (2 mi) off Kep. Its sandy, rock-studded stretches make a popular low-budget getaway, refreshingly free of electricity and motor vehicles. Come here for some peaceful swimming, or explore the excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities among the many coral reefs. If you've worked up an appetite, check out the fresh seafood eateries on the island's longest beach. Fishermen and cowherds run accommodations, some in wooden thatched houses built by convicts during the 1970s. Hired boats run regularly to the island from Kep.
