On its walls articles with data and history of the spas of Uruguay, among other information (in this case more interesting for adults). With the entrance to the Museum of the Sea you access the Insectario (it is across the street) that complements the tour for the little ones.

Museo que no es 1, es el museo del mar, el mu... more »We visited this excellent museum on a rainy day of Oct/2019, we were about 3 hours, reading the stories told by the museum's owner. Museum that is not 1, is the museum of the sea, the museum of memories that reminds us of articles that we consumed 50 or more years ago, the museum of the spas that has information about the creation of spas such as Punta del Este, Piriapolis, Atlantida , La Floresta, etc. and finally, crossing the street the Insectarium with a large collection with title of each species. And soon they announce the museum of the book. All done with a lot of dedication. The entrance fee is $300 worth a tour of it.
From the outside we were skeptical of worth the price. It turns out this is more like four museums in one. Simply lovely. Numerous specimens and enough English translation plaques to aid when Spanish brain falls asleep. We spent about two hours consuming
Good for rainy days. Dont spend more than 2 hours.
