The Museum is installed in the House floor, where Patricia lived in a neighborhood of the city, throughout your life, and preserves the rooms, furniture and other utensils typical of the time, very well kept. There are also two gardens or courtyards beautiful and enjoyable, one of them in the style of Spanish houses in the new world, around which the various quarters are available, and which serves as the area of circulation and to relieve the heat of the day, as well as having a well water supplier fresh (there was no plumbing or sewers when it was built), and the other in the form of a leafy garden, with benches and fountain. Of the quarters, the most interesting is undoubtedly the kitchen. Current housewives should thank the technical progress checked in this area, compared to what was available at the time (iron cauldrons, wood-fired oven, iron clothes heated with charcoal taken advantage of the stove, and other tools that Today we consider primitives. Nothing, not even a refrigerator. Worth a visit, even if it is fast, especially for the young people of today, who do not have the slightest idea of what was a middle-class residence a century ago. The Museum belongs to the municipality of Maldonado, pasted in Punta, and admission is free. Has no stairs, which facilitates visits for people with mobility difficulties. There are interesting paintings and ancient objects like arrowheads and more. Francisco Mazzoni was a very influential person in the city (and in what was his residence), there is much furniture old, photographs a Maldonado and Punta del Este lost in time and places that have peculiar stories. Its courtyard is very striking and turns out to be a very nice know place. I do not give more note because perhaps you have points to improve structure and display of items, but it is a must place to visit in the old colonial city of Maldonado, which still have lights at the time. Near Punta del Este, do not say more for you to discover it.
Beautiful space in the heart of the city of Maldonado. Currently with its improved facilities, for the enjoyment of the history of both neighbors and tourists from all over the region.
