See work ranging from the Italian Renaissance to contemporary genres at Philbrook Museum of Art. Partially housed inside the 1920s villa of the influential Phillips' family, the museum features European, Asian, African, and Native American artwork housed in galleries that were once the family's rooms. Join a Westby sculpture walk through all the three-dimensional work on the grounds. Be sure to leave time to stroll the gardens. Philbrook Museum of Art Reviews
Even though it was cold outside, we enjoyed walking the grounds behind the Museum. The cabin is a must. Art inside was interesting and varied. Nice way to spend a couple of hours. more »
We used to live in Tulsa and we still have family. After visiting this museum many times we still enjoy seeing it when in town. more »
I loved the art, world class. The grounds, Wow!. Kitchen 27 breakfast was Awesome. My only complaint was our wait staff at Kitchen 27 was horrible. We did not even get one refill of coffee or water, Plus part of our order was never brought out. Our server only came to our table to order, delivery and check. Then she acted put out because I didn't want to pay for the items we ordered that we never received. She thought it would all be better because she gave us a member discount, But she never even asked if we where already members or not. Which we had just joined as of that morning, So we should have received the discount anyway. Art Museum servers in Tee shirts just cheapens the effect. Heck I have received better service at McDonald's, plus they have uniforms. The Kitchen 27 setting is almost like it's a upscale food court setting with Awesome food and bad service. It doesn't matter how great the food is, if the serving staff leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
I've been numerous times and I still enjoy going back. The place in itself is gorgeous, always well maintained. There are lots of different events that seem to make it a different place every time. It is very family friendly. The gardens are just as lovely as the building. First time in Tulsa? This is a must.
