  • This was an amazing museum. Although it isn't as large as some museums, I actually found that to be a wonderful thing - I saw virtually every piece in one afternoon and had just enough time to enjoy everything without feeling like I had to run to the next exhibit. The folks at the ticket counter gave us some great advice about out-of-state memberships (which saved us a ton of money). The "tour" headsets we're well worth it and the bits of the free guided tours we caught sounded very informative. Even outside, the grounds offer a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and are filled with lovely plants. A must-see for those visiting San Francisco!
  • The biggest hidden gem by the bay! It's a pleasant place to get away from it all and relax for a while. The museum year round always has a great collection of art. And for the past years they've managed to get a Raphael or an old master for a rental during the summer period. That's a big testament of how hard this museum works, at bringing you the best art possible.
